Recent Sales Popup ("we", "our", or "the App") is committed to protecting the privacy of merchants and their store visitors. This Privacy Policy describes how personal and store data is collected, used, and handled when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.

1. Information We Collect

When you install and use Recent Sales Popup, we automatically access certain types of information from your Shopify store via authorized Shopify APIs:

• Merchant & Store Data:
  • Shop domain (myshopify.com domain), access tokens, and store configuration settings (e.g., popup positions, color schemes, display timing).
• Recent Order Information:
  • Order ID, product title, product image URL, order creation timestamp, and general customer location (city and country only, derived from shipping or billing addresses).
• What We Do NOT Collect:
  • We do not collect or store customer full names, email addresses, phone numbers, exact street addresses, payment details, or credit card information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information exclusively to provide and improve the App's core functionality:

• To display real-time recent purchase popups on your storefront to visitors.
• To display anonymized location information (e.g., "Someone in New York, United States purchased") alongside product details.
• To store and apply your customized visual and timing preferences in the app admin dashboard.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data or your customers' data to third parties.

3. Data Storage and Security

• Hosting & Infrastructure: The App and its database are securely hosted on Google Cloud Platform and industry-standard managed database services with encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest.
• Access Tokens: All merchant offline access tokens are securely managed and rotated according to Shopify security requirements.
